When it comes to the actual egg box machine, there are three types which are available. These being the semi-automatic machine which could craft between 2000 – 4000, the automatic version which can support 4000 – 6000 and of course the manual version that can make a smaller quantity between 1000 – 1500 pieces. Beston manufactures the BTF-1-3 which creates roughly 1000 trays per hour and consumes 85 kg of paper each hour.

They also have in their line a BTF-1-4 machine which makes 1500 trays for each hour of work. However, it requires an input of 102 kg of paper for each hour of operation. Next in the list of plants is the BTF-3-4 the easily produces up to 2000 piece using 170 kg of paper each hour.

During the pulping process, the machine uses a mixture of water and raw materials in order to produce the slurry for the tray making process. In order to make the trays according to the mould, a negative pressure is applied along with a vacuum to create the trays. During the drying phase of the process, the semi-finished product is dried with the use of the drying line and if done properly, this can reduce the issue of losses as well as poorly-formed trays. Drying line are currently available in either a brick or metal version. And the packing process makes use of a hot press machine which is used to squeeze large amounts of trays together.
